Calamansi, or locally known as limau kasturi, is a small, highly aromatic citrus fruit widely used in Southeast Asian cuisine and traditional medicine.
The juice is naturally very sour, with a unique blend of lemon and tangerine flavor. The peel, however, can have a hint of sweetness, though the overall taste remains tart. Its fresh, flowery scent is a key characteristic.
It's commonly cut in half and squeezed over dishes like grilled meats, seafood, noodles (pancit), and rice porridge as a finishing touch. These are also used to make as refreshing juice, often sweetened with sugar or honey and served with ice.
It's packed at approximately 200g in weight.
