The Chinese broccoli/kale, or locally known as Kailan, a popular leafy green vegetable in Southeast Asian and Chinese cuisine. These are grown and sourced from Cameron Highlands.
It has thick stems, flat, glossy blue-green leaves, and small, edible florets. Offers a flavor similar to broccoli, but slightly stronger and with a hint of bitterness.
Rich in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as calcium, iron, and fiber, it's typically consumed after being cooked (stir-fried, blanched, steamed, or boiled), often with garlic, ginger, or oyster sauce, to balance its flavor and retain its crisp texture.
